View to shutlingsloe

Shutlingsloe is such a dominant peak on the cheshire, peak district border.  I have shot it from many angles but I like this image as it isn't so dominant and also makes you find it through the image.

Road to nowhere

This is the road the goes all around the outside of Iceland - it is the only good road that you don't need a 4x4 on.  The contrast between the vivid colours of moss and grass and the cliff faces is stunning.  This was taken on the south coast.

Hoar frost sunrise

This was taken on the coldest day in Cheshire I have ever experienced - it was -16oC.  I had no gloves and my hands stuck to the tripod and my camera had icicles from my breath.  I got this and probably 2 other great shots

St Michael’s mount

I usually only get one great image from a shoot.  The light on this day was amazing - there was a storm coming in and the clouds were really dramatic.  The tide was coming in quickly as well - so I had to be quick to get this.

Sun set on Jurassic coast

I have only visited the jurassic coast once and was struck by the rock formations - somewhere to go back as there are many opportunities for creating great images.

The week I went to Bamburgh I saw 5 mins of sun in the whole week - this was taken in the 5 min slot at 6am on the last day.

Powder

This was a once in a lifetime opportunity - and thanks to my wife Ann for spotting the 2 skiers getting ready to take on the powder - all I did was get my right lens on and shoot...

Sun tree

Taken in Cheshire in the winter with 70-200mm f2.8 Nikon lens.  I had been waiting for about 5 months for the right shot with this tree
